Budget Adjustments

PCOM students with additional financial need can work with the Financial Aid Office to see if they are eligible for a budget adjustment. If a student's financial aid
resources are not met by items that are already part of their cost of attendance (COA), they can request additional funds above their maximum COA through a review process.
Special Circumstance Review
Complete the to initiate a review of the elements in your cost of attendance. Special circumstances
may include but are not limited to:
- Computer purchase
- Rotation or residency interview travel costs
- USMLE exam costs
- Test preparation materials
- Living expenses above the standard amount
- Out of pocket medical expenses
- Childcare costs
- Health insurance costs
Our office must ensure that any adjustments made are reasonable and aligned with federal,
